Festival season will soon be upon us, and with festival season comes festival style. Icons like the two Kate’s – Moss and Bosworth, have made festival dressing into an art form, but it is much trickier to dress for V and The Isle of Wight than it is to dress for Coachella. Festival goers have to contend with all manner of British Summertime weather, and of course, MUD!
That is why choosing print is such a good option. You get to look pretty, embrace trends, and the mud is so much easier to hide within a print than it is on a block colour. New Look has just released a whole heap of stylish threads that are just perfect for festival dressing, and embrace many different prints, from Aztec styles to ditsy florals.
So this festival season, make the right choice and choose a print – it makes perfect sense.
Rihanna style
Rihanna rocks a denim bra style top in the vid for We found love. For festivals, add a floral print from New Look.

Jessie J style
Leggings are a wardrobe staple for Jessie J. She looks great in white ones from Boy London. But white leggings are not exactly festival friendly if you intend to sit on the ground (unless you’re Alexa Chung, more on that later), so black peace sign ones harking back to the days of the Beastie Boys are a good option.

Gwen Stefani style
Gwen knows you can jazz up even the simplest of outfits with just a touch of print. For those who have an aversion to print, you could take Gwen’s lead and wear sunglasses with a printed frame.

Katy Perry Style
Katy showed that feminine florals can be surprisingly sexy festival attire when she wore a sheer printed dress for Coachella this year. If a sheer dress isn’t your thing, why not opt for a floaty tunic style top? And if you decide not to bare too much flesh, just layer it over a vest top. Katy also adds flowers to her hair San Francisco style with a pretty hippy style garland.

The Hilton Sister’s style
Paris and Nicky Hilton adopted failsafe Coachella style with simple printed dresses and playsuits that looked both fresh and pretty. This look can be adapted to cooler weather by adding your wellies and a boyfriend cardigan.

Dita Von Teese style
Dita shows that you needn’t let your glamorous standards slip at a festival. She still wears full make-up and pretty midi dresses, just getting rid of those Louboutin heels.

Diane Kruger style
Diane Kruger dispels any myths that say you can’t wear a maxi dress or skirt to a festival. These items are cool and floaty during the day, but keep those legs covered for chilly evenings.Add a straw hat for extra cool points.

Alexa Chung style
Alexa Chung is the ultimate cool festival dresser. She always looks immaculate, and doesn’t steer clear of whites and creams like us mere mortals do. Opt for her look with a pretty white printed dress, and sling a parka over the top for those downpours.
